We are excited to announce that

CAMP IS BACK

June 25 – July 1, 2023

This year, as we rebuild camp, we will be serving campers ages 8 – 14 years old.  We will also accept a limited number of Counselors-in-Training (CIT’s) ages 16-17 years old.

The Lions of District 4-C1 created a camp for kids with Diabetes at Lake McCumber to help kids adjust to their situation and learn how to take care of themselves responsibly while living a normal life style. Over the years, Lions Camp for kids with diabetes at Lake McCumber has built a long standing tradition of education and knowledge being passed on.

For over 30 years, the Lions of District 4-C1 have been successful in achieving the camp goal of teaching campers they can have fun just like their peers who don’t have diabetes. Camp is held at beautiful Lake McCumber, just seven miles east of Shingletown in Northern California and twelve miles west of Lassen Volcanic National Park, off Hwy 44.

This camp has been a national resource helping kids across the nation from California, Oregon and Nevada to Colorado and New York for the last three decades.

This Northern California Diabetes camp offers a variety of enjoyable activities:
